The Government of Hong Kong has approved a grant of $536,000 to Amity Foundation, Hong Kong for providing relief to flood victims in Sichuan Province in the Mainland, on July 23. The grant will be used to provide rice and oil for the flood victims to address their imminent needs.
The Archbishop of Uganda Rev. Stanley Ntagali led a delegation of eight people to visit the Amity Printing Company on May 24, 2018. The delegation was attended by representatives of the national Bible societies of Uganda, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore.
On 7 June 2018 the Consul General of Canada in Shanghai, Weldon Epp visited the Amity Foundation. Mr Qiu welcomed him and praised Amity's past collaboration with the Canadian government and Canadian church organizations in comprehensive development projects.
On May 24, the Amity Foundation and Joni and Friends launched its 'Love in Wheelchairs' project with churches of Huai'an City in Jiangsu province. Pastors, government officials and representatives of Amity and Joni and Friends attended the launching ceremony for the wheelchair distribution project.
On 10 and 11 of May 2018, the second Chinese-German interreligious consultation 'Different Religions, Common Future' took place. The consultations are an effort to promote the common development of the two countries through religious exchanges, cooperation and to foster friendship.
