Why do Chinese students find English so difficult to learn? This is a question jointly explored by HK experts and some Hunan English teachers. The Summer Teacher Development Program took place during 18 – 25 July 2013 in Chenzhou, Hunan, with 168 teachers from Pilot and non-pilot schools participating.

On 22 July 2013, a series of earthquakes shook Dingxi, Gansu Province, northwest China. The first quake struck at 07:54 China Standard Time (CST), with the epicenter located at the border of Min County and Zhang County.
Amity Foundation has provided relief supplies to the people affected by the Ya’an earthquake on April 20, 2013. The earthquake with the epicenter located in Lushan County, Sichuan, claimed 196 lives and caused 13,484 injuries.
