The seminar "Food and Water for Life!" given by the World Council of Churches (WCC) took place on May 4. The General Secretary of WCC, Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, and Dr. Manoj Kurian, the WCC coordinator of the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance, gave keynote speeches.
Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), visited the office of Amity Foundation Hong Kong on May 3. He received updates on Amity's social work in Mainland China and Hong Kong including diaconia and work related to food and water.
On April 13, 2019, the Amity Foundation organized its 9th Walk for Living Water (WLW) event. Participants gathered in respond of the United Nation's World Water Day to advocate and raise money for sustainable water supplies in water deprived regions in Myanmar.

Amity organized a four-day training workshop in Nanjing to train soccer trainers from 25 schools in Jiangsu, Anhui and Qinghai provinces. The project provides opportunities for children to enjoy football and narrow the education gap among rural and urban areas.
