The World Council of Churches invites to a seminar themed Food and Water for Life, co-organized by Amity Foundation Hong Kong. Speakers will be WCC General Secretary Rev. Olav Fykse Tveit and Dr. Manoj Kurian of the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance.
Amity organized a four-day training workshop in Nanjing to train soccer trainers from 25 schools in Jiangsu, Anhui and Qinghai provinces. The project provides opportunities for children to enjoy football and narrow the education gap among rural and urban areas.
On March 7, 2019, Mr. Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, General Secretary of the ACT Alliance (International Alliance for Disaster and Development), and Mr Anoop Sukumaran, Regional Representative for the Asia/Pacific region, visited the Amity Foundation.
On March 8, 2019, the Amity Foundation and the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Beijing to promote future cooperation in humanitarian relief.
The Amity Foundation completed the reconstruction of a primary school in Guizhou province to ensure quality education for students in a village in the mountains of Liping county. Since 1994, the Amity Foundation has rebuilt 409 schools, including five schools in 2017 and three in 2018.
