On July 19, the HKDRF approved a grant of 4.542 million HKD to the Amity Foundation, Hong Kong for providing relief to flood victims in Guangxi Autonomous Region and Jiangxi Province. The grant will be used to provide food, quilts and hygiene items to 5,207 households in utter despair.
Qiu Zhonghui, Chair of Amity Foundation and Amity Printing, and Michael Perreau, the general secretary of the United Bible Society (UBS), signed an agreement to extend their joint venture and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate for another ten years.

Since end of May provinces in central and south China are suffering from severe floods. The Amity Foundation has distributed 69,100 kilograms if rice, 1382 barrels cooking oil, 1482 blankets, 15,000 packages of instant noodles and sanitation kits to people affected by the disaster.
