Advocating for access to water and sanitation

More than 550 participants and volunteers joined the Amity Walk for Living Water 2017 event in Hong Kong on 29 April 2017. In the 7th year of the Walk HK$ 220,000 were raised. The donations will be used in Amity’s Living Water Project. Amity will support the construction of a solar shower room for a primary school in Qinghai Province. Those facilities will provide better personal hygiene conditions for local students and teachers.

Ensure access to water and sanitation for all is Goal 6 of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In response to the annual UN World Water Day on March 22, the Amity Foundation raises fund to provide clean water for remote areas in China, advocates to safe water and raises public awareness of the global water crisis. The theme for 2017 is 'Water and Wastewater'.
