Mr Rudelmar Bueno de Faria and exchange and Mr Anoop Sukumaran discuss development and cooperation with Amity
On March 7, 2019, Mr Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, General Secretary of the ACT Alliance (International Alliance for Disaster and Development), and Mr Anoop Sukumaran, Regional Representative for the Asia/Pacific region, visited the Amity Foundation to exchange views and discuss future developments and cooperation. Mr. Faria emphasized ACT's global network and increasingly future cooperation with the United Nations. He expressed his hope that in the future, there will be more and more cooperation between Amity and ACT Alliance.

Mr Qiu Zhonghui pointed out that Amity remains grateful, not only with the funds received from ACT Alliance, but also for technical experience and professional assistance. He wishes that Amity will develop more opportunities of cooperation with ACT and member organizations to promote development in areas including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and community development.
Amity's General Secretary Ling Chunxiang conveyed her proudness and honor for Amity to serve as a member of ACT. She further expressed Amity's plan to participate in ACT forums actively and share experience with other ACT members to enable development of all, in order to bring better services for people in need.

The Amity Foundation is one of the founding members of ACT Alliance. Since the mid-1990s, the Amity Foundation has received continuous funding and capacity support for disaster management and humanitarian relief. In addition, the Alliance also played an important role in Amity's 'Going Global Strategy' and to carry out relief and poverty alleviation work overseas.
After visiting Nanjing, Amity's Chair Mr Qiu Zhonghui and General Secretary Ling Chunxiang, accompanied the guests to Beijing. There, they met with the UNHCR country representative in China, the China Charity Alliance, the regional office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the China NGO Network for International Exchange.
