Janssen employees visit the Home of Blessings

More than 30 employees of Xi’an Janssen, a pharmaceutical company, visited students at the Amity Home of Blessings on 14 December 2007. The delegation was headed by manager Tan. Xi’an Janssen donated books and toys worth 5000 yuan and another 6000 yuan for a computer and ten computer desks, enabling the Home of Blessings to set up a room for reading and playing and a computer room. Additionally, the company gave 3000 yuan to a fund for special education teachers at the Home of Blessings. The money in this fund is used to reward teachers who have made outstanding contributions in the field of special education.

The visitors went out into a public square with students to play different games. Later they made handicrafts together with the students and helped them to improve their reading and computing skills. Some visitors chatted with students, learning more about their lives and the professional training they receive at the Home. They also made dumplings with the students.
