Woyun fertiliser delivery finished

November is the ideal sowing season for wheat and canola in the Mianzhu region of Sichuan Province. The Amity Foundation has recently distributed organic fertiliser in Woyun Village. This is the third time since the autumn of 2008 for Amity to provide organic fertiliser to farmers in Woyun. Each household was given an amount equivalent to the era used for cultivation, with 55 kg of fertiliser per mu (1/15 ha, or 667 sqm).

Woyun farmers, who in the past used chemical fertiliser and harvested crops three times a year, are getting more and more used to organic fertiliser and are quite happy with the results. So far, harvests have been pretty good.
