Warm clothes have been distributed to children in Nangqian (Qinghai Province) as part of the “Winter Sun” project, which is run by the Amity Foundation in cooperation with Gesanghua, a volunteer organisation which collects and redistributes warm clothes as well as basic school equipment for poor children on the Qinghai and Tibet Plateaus.
Amity’s reconstruction efforts in the regions affected by the recent snowstorm disaster include the rebuilding of family homes, the reconstruction of greenhouses and support for families whose domestic animals have died. (For details and pictures, see below.)

The representatives of the Amity Foundation and the Asia Pacific Forum participated in a joint meeting at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on December 12, 2007. The joint meeting was organized for continuing dialogues between the Amity Foundation and the Forum after the World Council of Churches-sponsored Amity Round Table meeting in Nanjing in May 2007.
