On the afternoon of October 28th, a delegation of 26 non-governmental organizations' members from Southeast Asian countries visited the Amity Foundation to get informed about Amity's work and to discuss future South-South cooperation in the region.
On November 1, the Amity Foundation held its first forum at the Geneva Welcome Center (CAGI). During this event the development of Chinese NGOs and the Chinese third sector was introduced to 22 representatives from 16 different international NGOs.
On October 28 and 29, the 3rd Amity Senior Service International Conference followed by a nursing forum was held in Nanjing. Many experts, scholars and about 700 employees of the sector attended the conference. The main focus was on hospice (palliative) care, which aims to improve the quality of life for dying patients.
The 7th International Amity Seminar on Autism was co-organized by the Amity Foundation and hosted almost 300 experts and scholars from Mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas to exchange experiences, best practices and mutual learning.
On 14 October, Chen Zongrong, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Religious Affairs (SARA), Reverend Fu Xianwei, President of the China Three-Self (TSPM) Patriotic Movement Committee and Reverend Gao Feng, President of the Chinese Christian Council (CCC) visited the Amity Foundation in Nanjing.
