The year 1985 marks the birth of Amity Foundation as well as the inauguration of the Chinese Theological Review (CTR). Today “CTR is one of the few — perhaps the only — journal focusing on the Protestant churches in China to present Chinese voices directly.
The European Network of Amity Partners (ENAP) meeting was hosted by the Church of Scotland from 6 to 7 May 2014 in Edinburgh. During these days Amity staff and European partners discussed and analyzed the status of current partnership and future cooperation.
From March 18 to 20, The Amity Foundation hosted “Bread for the World” China Partner Meeting in Nanjing. Apart from representatives from Bread for the world, 43 participants from 22 organizations both in mainland China and H.K. attended this conference.
On April 14, SKH Tsoi Kung Po Secondary School organized a mini walk based on Amity’s annual Walk for Living Water in Hong Kong. This event raises pupils’ awareness for charity work and sustainability of water consumption.
Amity Foundation arranged a second visit to Iloilo during 21–24 March to oversee the further phases of relief aid and rehabilitation work. Altogether 50 boats were handed over to fisher families. In parallel, some site visits werde made to inspect the emergency repairs project for school classrooms.
