Yaan earthquake 2013

 

An earthquake of 7.0 magnitude struck China in Lushan County of Ya’an, Sichuan Province at 8:02 Beijing Time on April 20, causing serious casualties and property losses, and millions of people in distress. Amity Foundation has started to bring humanitarian relief to people who lost all their worldly possessions by the disaster.

On October 17th Amity supplied steel granaries to farmers in order to secure their grain after the Ya'an earthquake. This is part of Amity's reconstruction project in three villages of Ya'an county that aims beside reconstruction at community and capacity building.

Amity distributes relief goods to 50,091 people in Ya’an

Amity Foundation has provided relief supplies to the people affected by the Ya’an earthquake on April 20, 2013. The earthquake with the epicentre located in Lushan County, Sichuan, claimed 196 lives and caused 13,484 injuries. Amity’s campaign involved 30 members and volunteers and included the humanitarian aid worth 7,210,000 Yuan.
